Migration of people has now become commonplace due to many reasons. The major reason behind it is the desire to live a life of high standard. People from poor and developing countries are seeking a place in the developed countries to get good pay for their work.
According to the World Migration Report 2020 published by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), there are around 272 million international migrants at a global level. Around 3.5% of the world’s population is moving to other countries and this value has tripled since 1970.
Some minority groups feel insecure in their own country and they wish to flee to another for living a life with a good standard. Environment factors are also responsible for people to migrate to new countries to live a comfortable life without any inconvenience.
Citizens of most of the developing and poor countries feel unsafe and they fail to fulfill their personal needs due to poor wages. There are certain countries that facilitate quality living to help their residents live happily.
Developed countries have adequate healthcare facilities that make people feel safe about their lives and it helps them live longer. It is not the case in poor or developing countries as the life expectancy of people is less in such nations.
Settling in other countries gives people a chance to overcome poverty and live a luxurious life. Jobs in developed countries pay far higher than those in developing countries. Thus, people prefer to migrate to another country to enjoy life with a high standard of living.
