There have been talks about professional producers, singers, instrumentalists, and so on. Well, have you heard about innovative musicians? What about a new digital era in music?
Innovation in any field requires great minds and can never be termed as an easy task. Talks about innovation in music must include Jesse Neo and Milana Leybovich.
Milana Leybovich is a Los Angeles based singer, songwriter, and vocal producer. She produces in the EDM, country, pop and R&B genres. Milana Lybovich claims to have been immersed in music since she was three years old. “I am continuing my path in this art form because it’s how I thrive,” she told us. Leybovich started learning classical piano at the age of 4, and has been in the music business for 17 years. In the year 2008, she created a group called Nuthin Under a Million. With this group, she has released over 20 singles, including Touch the Stars. “After being in the industry for so long, I noticed there were very few female producers,” she told us. She clearly stated that there are numerous female singers out there, but the number drops when you start counting female producers. Due to the above reason, she joined hands with Jesse Neo to create a music market and collaboration platform, known as Gemtracks.
Jesse Neo is an Australian singer, producer, DJ, and songwriter. Jesse is a musician who happens to have been trained in classical violin and piano as a child. The initial classical training formed a significant musical background, which has propelled Jesse Neo to enter the EDM world too. Jesse is currently living in Los Angeles, where he moved due to job demands. He works with several record labels where he met Milana Leybovich, and together they created Gemtracks.
Gemtracks is a collaboration, and a market platform that sells beats produced by top artists in the music industry. Gemtracks has been able to sell each track to only one customer each to ensure transparency and avoid licensing issues. The sale and licensing are done automatically and no physical contact is required.
Now besides buying and selling beats, Jesse Neo revealed to us a new service to rent music studios. There is also an additional facility for playlist submission where artists are able to send their newly mastered tracks to playlist curators and journalists around the world. All in all, the aim of the website is to act as a central hub for musicians to make it in the music industry.
“As we all know, musicians are struggling to perform and create their art during this pandemic,” Jesse concluded. “Now, with Gemtracks, they are now able to do everything they have been doing in real life, but in the virtual world. This is something very exciting and I just can’t wait to see if this would be carried over when the world returns to normal again.”
