Randy Moyer, who is an Air Force Veteran, has severe arthritis in his limbs. He can’t walk properly because of which he uses a mobility scooter to move around. Moyer can’t ride a car or a bike, and a mobility scooter was his best option.
He shared that he felt independent when he bought a mobility scooter (scootmobiel kopen) and was using it. Moreover, he did not have to worry others because of his limitations. However, all this came to an end when Randy Moyer was visiting his friend in Cedar Rapids.
While Randy was visiting his friends, he took ill. And he had to be hospitalized for a few days. The fact that he was in a hospital gave someone a chance to steal his $3000 worth of mobility scooter.
Moyer and his friends suspect it was someone from the neighborhood who stole the Air force veteran’s scooter. Moyer’s daughter Nicole Simonds had something to say in the matter.
Simonds said that a mobility scooter is the most unlikely thing to steal. When you steal it, you know someone is actually in need of it. How can someone steal something that important?
Simonds now comes and visits her father every week, after the incident. She comes by to help him and look after him. And she also said she does not like seeing her father in this restricted condition.
Both Randy and Nicole are hoping that the mobility scooter is returned to them. After the theft, the family filed a case in the Cedars Rapid police station. .And they are still on the lookout for a mobility scooter.
