Cyberpunk 2077 will be hitting the market next year and it will be a game changer when it comes to mild flirting. This is going to be full on romancing.
A DM conversation with the lead designer at CDPR, Paweł Sasko, revealed that the updated work on Cyberpunk 2077 distinguishes it from The Witcher 3.
“Romancing is something heavily present in Cyberpunk, and players will be able to form meaningful connections with other characters as well as go for one night stands…Since we’re not bound by a predefined character like in The Witcher anymore, the game will feature romance options going beyond heterosexual.”
According to Sasko, Geralt is a pre-defined character and this is why he has a limited number of romance options in the heterosexual world. All his options are female and in the end, he just has Yennerfer and Triss to romance with.
Cyberpunk on the other hand is going to be a whole new story. Cyberpunk 2077 will have a lot of options where you will be able to build your own character and you can even choose your own sexual orientation and gender. And you can even decide whom to romance with. This gives you more diverse options.
Traditional character creation options of this sort would have been controversial and not being allowed same sex relationships. So choosing your sexual orientation and who to romance, which gender, is a choice in 2019.
Most fans are glad to hear that romance and not just flirting is a part of Cyberpunk. This is a feature that doesn’t exist commonly in today’s world.
