D Kirk KV is an Half Jamaican musical artist known for his hip-hop/rap and RnB skills. He is currently residing in Philadelphia. D Kirk first ventured into the music industry in 2013. Since then, he has been spiraling upwards and gaining more popularity in the world of music, all due to his exceptional talent in music.
D Kirk has specialized in the rap/hip hop music genre, with his specific style being dancehall. His great passion for music began at a young age when he would sing at concerts and church events. The more he sang at these events, the more D Kirk realized that he was talented in music. He then set it as a goal to pursue music in his life and worked hard to make his dream a reality.
While D Kirk is now a popular and exceptional music artist, he wasn’t always this popular. To develop his career, he first began by setting up plenty of goals; goals that would help him attain success in the music industry. Some of his goals included conducting mini-concerts in his hometown, doing “meet and greets” at some clubs, and participating in different concerts at college. Engaging in these concerts gave him more confidence to take up bigger projects until he eventually showed the world his great talent and skills in music.
When asked about what his work aims to say, D Kirk mentioned two main purposes: One, to make his listeners feel good and get into the groove of his music, and two, for the people to remember the story behind his music. To acquire more opportunities in the music industry, he networks with other famous artists, both local and international artists, and does collaborations with them. And one outstanding aspect about D Kirk that has given him a great push in his music career is that he takes risks and handles all challenges that come his way, never giving up.
The biggest inspiration for the musical artist is BIGGIE (an American rapper and songwriter). D Kirk comments that he and Biggie are quite similar and that he can relate to him in several aspects. Also, he is inspired by the great passion that BIGGIE has in his culture and the fact that the American rapper never gives up.
All these aspects about BIGGIE encourage D Kirk to keep pushing himself in the music industry, such that he reaches the highest levels and attains true success in his music career.
Besides BIGGIE, the artist also has other influences in his music careers, such as LL COOL J and 2PAC, just to mention a few.
D Kirk has recorded many achievements in life. When it comes to educational achievements, the artist has a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Health Science. And in his music career, D Kirk is a reknown independent artist with a records label. He built the records label together with Latasha Melody in 2021.
Also, the artist has been collaborating with other artists and making featured songs since 2016 till now.
Apart from music, D Kirk also has a passion for health and fitness. As he mentions, were it not for venturing into music, he would have pursued a career as a professional fitness trainer. Currently, the artist has two other part-time jobs that he does, besides making music. He also owns a clothing line, known as the D&J Clothing line. He partnered with Latasha Melody to create the clothing line, which has been in Operation since July 2021.
So what makes D Kirk’s music and style unique from other similar rap/ hip hop songs? Well, unlike most artists of the same music genre, D Kirk does a twist of the island beat, turning it into his own style and improving its tune. By doing so, he creates the kind of music that every person loves listening to and gets in the groove to dance. Recently, he dropped a new song called “Tempted Ft xbvalentine.” This particular song has a very danceable tune and sound that puts you in the mood to dance all night. It is no wonder that the song has already registered many views and likes.

When asked about his goals for the next year, the artist mentioned that he wishes to become a top choice for the rewards and be on the BET 2023 Cypher. Indeed, the artist is working harder and harder to make a good name in the music industry, and we can expect to see more of his achievements in the years to come!
