People may assume that theology training is not enough to make a career. But that’s not the case. A theology training can equip you not only to face the world with your faith but also to make a successful career. There are many things you can do with your theology certificate of ministry; here are a few of them.
You can become a youth pastor. Youth today have to face a lot of problems, from depression, bullying to addiction. As a youth pastor, you can guide them towards a better understanding of life and train them in God’s word.
If interacting with youth is not your thing, then maybe you are interested more in children. You could become a children’s ministry director. More than 43% of Americans receive Jesus Christ in their lives before the age of 13, so you could play a role in strengthening their religious faith.
Associate or Assistant pastor is the role you will receive when you are a beginner. You can work under a senior pastor and learn the ropes before you go into an effective senior pastoral ministry.
If you have a managerial side, then you could act as Church Director. You could spend time organizing people and processes or managing information. Churches and Christian organizations need not only religious people but smart people.
Elijah and Isaiah, Paul and Silas, all of them were prophets and church leaders who traveled around spreading the word of God. You could be one of them too, and follow the path of being a missionary.
People who love teaching and have a theology degree can also apply for the position as a theology professor or act as a Sunday school teacher. It would allow you to follow your calling.
