Near the eastern coastal city of Ancona in Italy, a stampede took place at around 01:00 (midnight GMT), at a nightclub. About 6 people died and dozens have got severe injuries while 12 of them are serious. The injured people were taken to hospitals in Ancona and Senigallia. Many of them got crushed wounds.
According to some reports, the whole atmosphere was panic-stricken when pepper spray was sprayed inside the club of Corinaldo.
The incident happened when Italy just started celebrating the grand Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The rapper Sfera Ebbasta was performing in the Lanterna Azzurra club and a crowd of 1,000 people was gathered inside.
Sfera Ebbasta real name is Gionata Boschetti and he is 26 years old. He has earned huge success in Italy. In the month of January, his third studio album- Rockstar got released. The Italian musical federation certified his album as a triple platinum seller.
A similar incident took place in Turin last year, in the month of June, where about 1,500 people were injured because of a firecracker that sparked a stampede. The incident occurred at the public screening of the Champions League final.
