Belt Sanders are meant to be used on large, flat surfaces so they can refinish wood or metal cabinets, tables, floors, etc. quite quickly. They can be used for many jobs and make projects faster and easier to complete when the right grit sandpaper is used. The higher the number, the finer the grit with sandpaper. With a heavy grit like 60, removal of stains, polyurethane, or layers of paint is possible. Whereas with a medium or fine grit between 100 and 200 sanding a cabinet, shelf, is possible. If there is a home door that isn’t closing properly or sticks out, remove the door, shave off a bit (1/8 of an inch) on the side or bottom and the problem is solved. The sanders can handle big and small projects effectively.
Belt Sanders are ease of use and can be easily handheld or mounted yet they are very powerful. They are perfect for removing a lot of material as fast as possible. They particularly excels at getting good looking results. As long as the position of sanderling is proper the results will be great. The drums turn the sandpaper in a linear direction so there is no way for it to falter and go against the grain as it spins. Go slowly without changing speed or direction during work.
