Alan Pete Hill, husband of Kopper Beverly, the woman who became the chancellor of Wisconsin Whitewater University in 2015 has been indicted of sexually harassing not less than seven staffs or students if not up to 10.
Hill was initially accused in 2017 though he denied the allegation. However, investigations revealed that Hill’s ill behavior towards women is widely known which has made a lot of the university employee took actions to protect each other from him. This led to banning him from the campus vicinities and stripping off his ceremonial title of associate to the Chancellor.
The 18 pages investigative report revealed that there is no evidence that the chancellor facilitates or support the ill actions of her husband, but it is believed that Hill’s actions were in Kopper’s blindspot.
Due to the request for open records on the unruly behavior of Hill from The Association Press and other media outlet, the university was prompted to conduct a second investigation into the situation from the period of September to December. The report of the inquiry was published on Friday in 850 pages of attachment, and there it was stated that not less than ten students and employees claimed to have been sexually harassed by Hill.
Also, investigators found evidence that all the sexual harassment leveled against him happened inside the campus or university-related events.
All this prompted the resignation of Kopper has the Chancellor in December 2018 and also the awareness of Ray Cross the UW President about the findings.
Kopper’s salary will be reduced to $118,308 from 242,760 she’s receiving right now while on administrative leave when she returns to teaching duties.
