Growing up in Hayward California in the Bay Area getting caught in gang violence was easy. Dub P lost his older brother in high school to one of such episodes. Through it all he got into trouble and saw him inside the jail. In jail he took up his passion for music seriously and ended up listening to and writing a lot of songs.
When he was out of the bars he made his first song ALONE which was a massive hit. 5 more songs followed and he had gained respect especially in his hometown. Growing up he loved listening to Tupac and other cassettes with his older cousins and dreamt of becoming the most famous rapper from Asia.
Today Dub P is not where he wants to eventually be but he knows exactly where he is going. It is not easy to even understand this for many. Many are still looking for a path and a destination to arrive at. But for Dub P things have changed. He knows where he is heading to and is doing so musically.
