Health is real wealth. People who are fit and fine can enjoy the true colors of life. Meanwhile, people with weaknesses and disabilities tend to feel dependent on others, and such individuals also suffer from mental health issues. Multiple factors are underlying physical impairments and limitations, such as accidents, injuries, and weak muscles. In all these instances, taking painkillers might be effective for a time, but they are not a permanent solution. People facing chronic pain, injuries, and other physical health issues tend to visit a physical therapist who performs therapies in several sessions, prescribes some exercises, and educates the patients about the issue and some exercises to prevent such issues in the future. As a result, patients can eliminate pain and injuries permanently. The physical therapy treatments are not comprised of one or two exercises. In fact, there are uncountable therapies, and many have yet to be launched. A professional physical therapist identifies the problem from the root, educates the patients, and provides the right treatments to reduce pain. These therapists are serving humanity through their knowledge and expertise. One such individual is Dr. Richard W. Bohannon – an American physical therapy clinician, scholar, researcher, and educator. He has contributed to improvising physical therapy through practice, research, and case studies.
Research has a strong impact on the progress of the entire healthcare field. Various diseases which were not curable decades ago can now be treated. The treatments for such diseases are possible through research by healthcare professionals. Similarly, physical therapy is also affected by the research. Various innovations in the field are due to the research that found answers to the mysteries. Research plays a vital role in the development of physical therapy practices. It is essential to identify which treatments work better for patients. It discovers new treatments and ensures that the therapists perform existing treatments in the best possible ways. There are multiple reasons that physical therapy researchers are engaged in conducting research studies. Research diagnoses new kinds of muscle issues and weaknesses. The researchers aim to reduce diseases and the number of patients affected by certain issues. The most important reason is that researches help in improving the quality of life.
Physical therapy clinics depend on research that identifies new issues and suggests effective treatments to cure them. Dependency on technology has reduced physical activity in people’s day-to-day tasks. As a result, many people suffer from issues born of inactivity. In order to prevent such issues, physical therapy professionals conduct therapy sessions to strengthen muscles, boost mobility, and improve body function.
