Following the latest and hottest Honor View 20 tease, another big tech giant, Samsung has announced a phone made by itself that’ll rock by using its new Infinity-O display. The Samsung A8s contains features, like a unique “hole-punch” design for the phone’s front end, selfie camera, that will be located at the top left of the screen.
Samsung has confessed that it intends to bring latest features on the mid-range phones first after giving enough chance to its Chinese rivals and the A8s is the best example of such strategy.
Apart from the distinctive 6.4-inch (2340 x 1080 pixels) display, A8s doesn’t have an official price, but is said to be a fairly standard mid-range deal. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 710 and has options for either 8GB or 6GB RAM with 128GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded up to 512GB via MicroSD. On the back side, it has got the triple-camera array similar to Galaxy A7, whereas the front-side camera located within the cutout contains a 24-megapixel sensor.
When display notch was popular in 2018, then 2019 is supposed to be the time for the hole-punch. With the announcement of A8s, the confirmed number of the hole-punch handsets becomes up to 3. You can also grab one Samsung’s own A8s, for which Pre-orders will be opening from December 21st.
