Temu, the US e-commerce platform, is ready to benefit from sister company PDD’s latest venture. Through this initiative, the manufacturers will be able to expand internationally and become brands trading globally.
Launched in the US in Sept 2022, Temu will be benefiting from the Nasdaq-listed Pinduoduo’s network. PDD network is made of more than 11 million global suppliers. The suppliers and manufacturers sell unique merchandise to its customers. Temu will now have the benefit of this network and grow to become an international platform.
Recently PDD announced their expanding plans. The brand is set to create 100 international brands and connect 10,000 manufacturers to global markets. This will ensure Temu gets a vast portfolio of quality products that are affordable as well as global.
One of the latest press releases cited the following vision of Temu:
-
Empowering the customers by giving them access to quality products
-
Making the complete experience convenient and comfortable
-
Using PDD’s international supplier plan to ensure more choices of quality products made by the world’s top manufacturers for their customers
Temu as a brand has an edge over other brands. The company has extensive connections with factories in China, thus sourcing for products is easier and the variety is vast. PDD’s supply chain resources helped Temu to claim the top spot of Android shopping apps in the US like it did in mid-September this year.
Currently the company is offering its customers products across 15 categories, ranging from clothing to homeware and even pet supplies. Temu uses all the access they have through PDD’s network to source the best and quality products. They are creating and curating the best personalized premium quality products for their customers spanning from different economic backgrounds. There is something for everyone at Temu.
