“The art of mothering is to teach the art of living to children.” – Elaine Heffner
A mother-daughter relationship influences the lives of everyone who come in the vicinity of this bond. The relationship that a girl or a woman shares with her mother is powerful indeed. It certainly sets the stage for all other relationships. It is in this way that mother-daughter relationships are so vital to society. Yalda Samadi is an example of a young woman highly influenced by her mother, Shirin Baghaei, who has stayed a Cellist herself.
Shirin Baghaei stayed as Yalda Samadi’s best friend and role model. At the same time, Yalda Samadi serves as a reflection of her mother. The bond that a mother shares with her daughter is indescribable because a mother is her daughter’s first best friend and is someone who guides her through her entire life. It is from mothers that daughters learn the art of living. In Yalda Samadi’s case, one can see how the young pianist has been influenced by her mother.
Born on the 22nd of December 1990, in Tehran, Yalda Samadi is an Iranian pianist who started learning music with her mother Shirin Baghaei, a Cellist herself, at age 6. In this maternal care, Yalda Samadi learned the art of playing the piano and the art of living a life of success. Yalda Samadi has demonstrated to the world how her passion for playing the piano is rooted in the love she has for her mother.
Yalda Samadi’s mother has served as a huge tree under which she has mastered the skill of playing the piano. Following her mother’s footsteps, Yalda Samadi earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music, Performance Piano from the University of Applied Science & Technology in Tehran. While it is true that Yalda Samadi’s first teacher was her mother, her experience of learning piano wasn’t restricted to her mother only. As a child, she was also a student of the renowned Maestro Fariborz Lachini. Mostafa Kamal Pourtorab, Chista Gharib, Tigran Mesroupian, Shaya Asadi, Ehsan Sabouhi, and Behrang Shegerfkar are names of some other professional instructors.
The thing worth noting about Yalda Samadi is that she did not just walk in her mother’s footsteps. She took her mother’s teachings to new heights. She did not just learn the art of playing the piano from her mother but also learned the art of living and, eventually, the art of success. Following her mother’s footsteps, Yalda Samadi was successfully granted a scholarship for the Master Classes of the Gyorgy Academy in Hungary in 2011. She is also famous for her performances at Iran’s National Orchestra conducted by Bardia Kiaras. She has also performed a piano duet with Shahrdad Rohani in Gorgan and Tehran cities. Apart from all of these achievements, Yalda Samadi has also been a soloist and piano player at Naser CheshmAzar’s concert conducted by Armin Gheytasi in Tehran, Shiraz cities, and Bandar-e-Anzali cities. Not only this, but she was also a piano soloist of the University of Applied Science & Technology’s orchestra that Amin Ghaffari conducted.
Since Yalda Samadi can be seen as following her mother’s footsteps, anyone can see just how strong her relationship has been with her mother. Science has much to say about a mother-daughter relationship. It explains why this relationship is the strongest of all parent-child bonds, especially when it comes to the similar ways in which the brains of mothers and daughters process emotion. When observed closely, one finds a powerful foundation for empathy, two emotionally in sync individuals who have a shared-experience bias. A mother-daughter relationship is meaningful because it is simply a matter of both heart and brain.
From living in the shade of her mother, Yalda Samadi has acquired heights of success in her life. She has played with several ensembles, musical groups, and artists such as Hami, Reza Sadeghi, Sharghi Ensembles, Nima Masiha, Simin Ghanem, Ariana, Hengame Ghaziani, Avaye Mehrabani, Chakavak Orchestra, and Noushe. Not only this, but Yalda Samadi has also attended Iran’s National Orchestra, along with Kuwait’s National Festival in 2011. She has played in the 28th Fajr Music Festival with Sharghi Ensemble as the select group. Furthermore, she taught music and professional piano lessons at Tehran’s Conservatory and musical institutes like Lachini, Arasbaran & Navaye Shahr Aashoub. She has been teaching piano through online classes since the Covid-19 pandemic too. It is a life that has been filled with maternal love, care, and protection.
In 2021 Yalda Samdi Founded the Yar Academy of Music and Yar Records with two branches in London and Tehran.
Following her mother’s footsteps, Yalda Samadi continues to achieve great heights of success and demonstrates to the world just how strong a mother and daughter relationship can be.
