Hakeem White is an online business and fitness trainer that has trained thousands of others as he rakes in a hefty 6 figure income. He is nothing less than inspiration as he not only sees great success but also mentors others in the field of online business.
He had once stated that if he ever was part of a Forbes interview, he would want to be perceived as ‘a value giver’.
Hakeem White’s journey to success wasn’t an easy one, rather it was one riddled with obstacles. Especially as his life in America didn’t start on a very easy note.
Rather he and his father had to greatly struggle. They entered the land of the free with only 500 dollars in hand and would regularly shift to a new house or would end up staying as a tenant. It was quite difficult for them to even meet their bare necessities. Moreover, he had tasted reality at a very young age, especially as his split from his mom created a very large void in his life.
It all started for Hakeem when he was in the third grade. He had set up a small candy business and was earning $100 per month. Yet, by 2013 he realized that his real passion lay in fitness and he was lucky enough to convert his passion into his profession.
The best decision he made for himself was to work on his persona and physique. After joining high school he was appreciated for his physical fitness. He even became a mascot in his senior year at high school.
In college, he was known as the gym guy. Students in his college would call him ‘GAINZ’ whenever he would be around them. Along with pursuing a course in nutrition he also became a certified fitness trainer.
He didn’t get into the training school easily as he had to wait for eight months to get admission into the academy. He was rejected twice until he was finally accepted on the third go! He started working as an RA on campus and also got a job as a gym trainer to pay off his student debt.
The job at the gym didn’t help him out much as the majority of his income was taken away by the gym. Which as a result turned on a light bulk, as he decided to start his own training business and filed for an LLC.
He initially labeled his business with the title ‘Hakeem Getz Gainz’ but later on changed it to ‘Hakeem Getz You Gainz’ as his main motive was to help others with his service.
As time passed, one of his clients asked him to create an online fitness program. This was something Hakeem had managed to design on his own without any guidance or experience. Even his very first basic pdf on online training turned out to be a success! Day by day he was getting a list of compliments from his clients for his work while managing to sell online programs for $20 per pdf.
However, Hakeem, unfortunately, wasn’t able to succeed in balancing multiple activities at once. His scores were quickly taking a plunge. Moreover, his failure to get in a single internship affected him the most. He was rejected in all the interviews. People started seeing him as an irresponsible man and everything seemed to come crashing down.
Finally, he moved back to his hometown with a $30,000 debt. He struggled for a whole year after graduation. Now making a measly $200 a year with no clue whatsoever as to how to extend his business and seek growth.
Which resulted in Hakeem having to do dead-end jobs which he simply hated. His life had turned upside down as he was depressed in light of his situation. At which point, he had taken up a loan but eventually ended in a dead-end as his ideas had not panned out.
One day it was an article on iPhone’s successful marketing techniques which showed him the light ahead. Then he had begun carving out marketing strategies to expand his business. His 3 step strategy completely changed the way he did business. In a few years, he climbed the ladder of success. In 2020, Hakeem had gained millionaire status as he crossed over the one million dollar mark! All the while, paving a path for his colleagues and other trainers.
Today he is leaving his dream life. He is not just debt-free but he is also his own boss! It is quite apparent that the road he took wasn’t so easy. Financial problems along with family issues made the journey tough. However, he turned out to be even tougher as he faced each problem with bravery and hard work, till he finally made it across!
