It has been just over a year since Vaishali Sarwankar took over as CEO of one of the most rapidly growing production houses Carnival Motion Pictures, which is also a part of prominent business group Carnival group led by successful business conglomerate Dr. Shrikant Bhasi. Vaishali who has an outstanding and long career in international markets chose to be part of Carnival Motion Pictures because of her love for Indian Cinema and an extra-ordinary business vision of Mr. Bhasi.
Born and brought up in Mumbai in a traditional Marathi family Sarwankar has always been an ambitious woman. She has completed her higher education from NMIMS Mumbai.
In her long and outstanding career in International Markets, she has lead many business ventures in Singapore and has achieved many milestones. Her outstanding professional credentials and love for Indian Cinema are the reason she was chosen as the head of one of the most promising Production houses which has produced movies such as Sachin: The Billion Dreams and Thackeray (Movie based on the life of Bala Saheb Thackeray).
Pandemic COVID-19 hit the world just around the time when Vaishali had joined Carnival Motion Pictures. Soon all the theatres across the countries had to be shut down amid lockdown due to pandemic safety norms. Almost all the shoots of upcoming movies had to be cancelled, but that did not deter her vision. She utilized this time in streamlining many operational necessities and processes which were on halt due to continuous production work.
As now theatres and multiplexes have been allowed to function again this production house is busy with the finalization of Carnival Motion Pictures’ upcoming movie Mere Desh Ki Dharti – a movie that is youth centric and also touches upon social concerns like farmers suicide. It essays the story of youth their perceptions, and much more. It has every ingredient of a commercial movie with an underlined social message.
Vaishali echoes the vision of Carnival Motion Pictures that movies are not only about entertainment but also about conveying a strong message to the society, it’s about inspiring, motivating, and spreading happiness and positivity. Movies as a medium has a wide reach and impact on common people so it is essential that it be used as a channel to create a sense of positivity in their lives.
Vaishali has big plans for Carnival Motion Pictures and aspires it to soar to greater heights. The production house supports new upcoming talent giving a chance to the deserving talent from various streams to grow under their umbrella.
