This is going to be the first time when a women’s match will make the major headlines for the company’s main event. On April 7th, the main-event WrestleMania 35 will take place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The major fight is going to be held between the 3 women champions – Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.
Given the circumstances, it makes all the more sense to give the main title to the women’s fight. Due to her dominance in UFC career earlier, Ronda Rousey has more or less become a household name. And because of that, she becomes successful in bringing that mainstream appeal to the fighting arena of WrestleMania.
Along with her, Becky Lynch has also garnered enough fan support throughout her career in the wrestling. The events that led to her suspension from WWE, and then the clash between top 3 women wrestlers, which ultimately guaranteed Lynch a Mania berth.
Charlotte Flair is the daughter of Ric Flair, a wrestling legend. Today, she is one of the strongest names in the wrestling world, with 7 championship titles in her name.
All this gives women’s match a sufficiently strong base and fan power over other matches like Triple H vs. Batista, or Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins.
